Organized by Faculty of Materials and Metallurgy & Chemistry, the first academic symposium on molecular chemistry and technology was held in the Huangjin Campus of JXUST on April 18th. Ten scholars from domestic prestigious universities like Fudan University and institutes joined the symposium to share fresh insights on the topic. Other attendees included Mr. Yang Bin, President of JXUST, Mr. Wen Herui, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Jinggshan University, as well as over 200 students and faculty members from JXUST or other universities. With a focus on the latest achievements in molecular chemistry and technology, the symposium aimed to enhance academic exchanges in the field of molecular photo-electro-magnetic materials, enliven academic environment, and advance the development of relevant disciplines.

Mr. Yang Bin addressed an opening speech in which he firstly, on behalf of JXUST, extended cordial welcome and heartfelt thanks to the present scholars. Then Mr. Yang Bin briefed the history, academic discipline, scientific platforms, and student training of JXUST. Faculty of Materials and Metallurgy & Chemistry was introduced in detail. So was the chemistry discipline development in JXUST. In addition, Mr. Yang Bin hoped to expand the communication between JXUST’s faculties & students and scholars from other universities through this symposium.

The representative of the scholars also extended warm greetings to all attendees and wishes for a fruitful symposium, as well as the rapid development of chemistry and relevant disciplines in JXUST. The scholar expected that the symposium would enhance academic exchanges and promote the sustainable development of molecular chemistry and technology.

Then academic reports on the topic were given by the scholars, while faculties and students were invited to express their confusion about those reports.

On the afternoon of that day, a free discussion meeting was arranged for the scholars, as well as JXUST’s leaders and relevant department heads.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Luo Sihai, Chair of the University Council, briefed the history of JXUST, which further enabled the scholars to know more about both Ganzhou and JXUST. Then Mr. Luo Sihai pointed out the tasks and problem JXUST had. He hoped that the scholars would assist the development of JXUST. The scholars who thought highly of JXUST all responded that they were ready to do so.

As the meeting came to its end, letters of part-time were presented to the scholars.
