From November 13 to 15, the evaluation meeting of Baogang Education Award 2020 was held in Changsha, Hunan Province. Professor Yang Bin, Secretary of the Party committee of the University, was invited to attend the evaluation meeting as the judge of Baogang Education Award, and Li Bing, deputy director of the personnel department, attended the communication meeting.

After evaluation, six teachers and students in our school won the Baogang Education Award in 2020. Among them, Professor Mao Kezhen of the College Of Economic Management and associate Professor Zhang Shixian of the College Of Science won the "Baogang excellent teacher award", with a reward of 10000 yuan each; Cheng Chen, a 2018 master of mineral processing engineering in the College Of Resources And Environmental Engineering, and Yang Jiaqi, a undergraduate majoring in chemical engineering and technology of the Department Of Material Metallurgy Chemistry, were awarded, Niu Hao, a undergraduate students majoring in mechanical engineering of College Of Mechanical And Electrical Engineering, Chen Zihao, a undergraduate students of software engineering major of College Of Software Engineering, won the "Baogang excellent student award", each with a reward of 10000 yuan.

Baogang Education Award is a major public welfare undertaking supported by Baogang Education Foundation in China. Founded in 1990, Baogang education fund is one of the most famous education awards in China funded by Baogang Group, supported and guided by the government, expert consultation and planning, and actively participated by colleges and universities "Education and development" as the purpose, the annual selection and commendation. Our school was selected as the school of Baogang Education Award in 2009. Up to now, 92 teachers and students have won the prize, including 24 excellent teachers and 68 excellent students.
