On the evening of September 29th, our institute held a new “Work Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” learning and publicity education conference in the library report hall of the Hongqi Campus. Many people attended, including the President He Guichun, Party Secretary Chen Ming, Deputy Party Secretary Rao Xianfa, Vice President Chen Fei, Assistant Dean Yu Xinyang and all faculty and staff, and 2021 students. And the meeting was presided over by Chen Ming.
Chen Ming introduced that the newly revised “Work Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” was passed on June 10, 2021, and will be implemented on September 1. He gave a brief introduction from twenty-seven aspects, including the principles and requirements for work safety, the safety supervision system, the corporate responsibility, government supervision and management responsibilities, the supervision and management system construction, the six major sectors of illegal punishment and the party’s leadership, the implementation of new ideas and concepts, the principle of “three managements and three musts”, the positioning of supervision and management department, the strengthening of departmental cooperation, the improvement of the functional zone supervision system, the emergency rescue agency functions, safety responsibility, the perfection of the responsibility of the person in charge, safety precautions, the care for employees, the safety and liability insurance system, the prevention of new risk sources, the sources of funding guarantees, joint prevention and control efforts, reasonable determination of regulatory authorities, lists of powers and responsibilities, supervise informatization construction, formulation of relevant national standards, post-accident investigation evaluation system, prescribed public interest litigation system, prescribed public interest litigation system, daily penalty measures, implementation of shutdown measures, employment prohibition regulations, joint disciplinary measures and publicity.
Chen also said that the newly revised new “Work Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” is in line with the current policy of comprehensively governing the country according to law. Meanwhile, we must unswervingly promote the comprehensive rule of law in order to create a better living and working environment.
