On December 8th, Qiu Tingsheng, member of the standing committee of the JXUST Party Committee and vice president of the JXUST, gave a lecture on the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee in the second conference room of Yifu Building of the Golden Campus, many people attended the conference including the secretary of the Party Committee of our school Chen Ming, dean of the school He Guichun, deputy secretary of the party committee Rao Xianfa, vice president Chen Fei, assistant of the dean Yu Xinyang and all the faculty and staff. The conference was held by Chen Ming.
With the topic of “With a hundred years of struggling, starting a new journey again”, Qiu first introduced the international, domestic and intra-party background of the sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee. Then, he systematically expounded the main contents of the plenary session. Finally, study suggestions for the faculty and staff were put forward.
During the lecture, combined a large number of practical cases and historical stories, Qiu reviewed the party’s centennial struggle course and major achievements, summarized the experience and lessons behind the historic change and affirmed the historical significance of the party’s centennial struggle. He said that the communist party of China is the history and the people’s choice, which will be led to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the future.
Qiu stressed that on the road of building socialism in an all-round way, the history of the Party’s centennial struggle is the best textbook to us. We should make it clear that the Party’s centennial struggle is a century of hardship, and the Party led the Chinese nation to overcome difficulties and obstacles all the way and finally win the victory in the process of building the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics. At this sixth Plenary session, the profound review of the historical experience of the Party’s centennial struggle is a reminder to us all that we must remain true to our original aspiration and remain resolutely committed to following the Party.
The lecture was rich in content and in-depth in explanation. The faculty and staff all benefited a lot and had a deeper understanding of the achievements and experience of the Party’s centennial struggle. At the same time, they will consciously be firm believers and faithful practitioners of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, striving to improve their own abilities and skills, which will make greater contributions to the development and construction of the university.
