More than 10 representatives of teachers and students, including Zhao Kui, President of Graduate School of our university, Wang Xiaojun, deputy director of science and Technology Department, and Professor Rao Yunzhang, vice chairman of the mining education committee of the Ministry of education, were invited to attend the meeting. The school finally won one first prize and two third prizes in the student practical work competition.
The theme of this annual academic meeting of mining engineering is "building new engineering disciplines and promoting double first-class". The conference adopts the form of Online + offline. More than 270 representatives from 48 universities and some enterprises participated in the offline meeting, and the number of online participants reached 13400. At the annual academic meeting, the participants had in-depth discussions and exchanges on promoting the reform and exploration of talent training mode of mining engineering specialty under the new engineering form, improving the quality of talent training, and promoting the construction and development of "double first-class" of mining engineering discipline and mining engineering specialty. A total of 422 works from 38 colleges and universities were received in the contest, including 178 physical model works, 127 digital models and 117 learning models. The entries cover coal, non-ferrous metals, non-metallic, chemical, building materials construction and other industries. The three works selected by the School Of Resources And Environmental Engineering of our university all stood out in the competition. After being selected by experts and judges, the "intelligent monitoring device for ore pass level in mine pass based on heavy hammer level meter" (physical model) by Jiangjin and other students of 2019 mining engineering specialty (Instructor: Zeng Peng, Zhao Kui, Liu Hao) won the first prize; 2019 mining engineering major Li Yanda, etc. 2018 mining engineering major Zhang Weihao, etc. won the third prize for "portable ultrasonic rangefinder under complex terrain conditions" (physical model) (Instructor: Zhao Kui, Zeng Peng, Zhang Jiyong), and "magnetite underground mining belt transportation ore rock screening system" (digital model Instructor: Zhu Hua, Yang Guochun).
