On the afternoon of August 30th, delegates from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) visited JXUST. The delegates came for cooperation in science and technology. Therefore, a symposium focusing on that topic was held. Mr. Wang Lixia, Deputy Director General of Jiangxi Provincial Education Department, and Ms. Guo Sufang, Vice Mayor of Ganzhou city were invited to attend the symposium. Other attendees include Mr. Yang Bin, President of JXUST, Mr. Luo Sihai, Chair of JXUST Council, and heads of relevant functional departments. Mr. Liu Zuwen, Vice President of JXUST, chaired the symposium.
During the symposium, Mr. Luo Sihai briefed JXSUT’s advantages and vision. And he believed that the cooperation in new materials would not only benefit JXUST and Ukraine, but also foster better relation between China and Ukraine.
Besides, academician Birous, a member of the presidium of NASU, noted in his speech that cooperation in solid-state battery materials and cooper processing is promising. He also expressed his wishes for more practical cooperation with JXUST in applied research to promote the transfer of scientific and technological achievements into productivity.
In addition, Ms. Guo Sufang pointed out that Ganzhou city is abundant in mineral resources, which would lay a foundation for the cooperation in new materials.
The symposium rang down its curtain as an agreement on cooperation in science and technology was jointly inked by JXUST and Sino-Ukraine Yuanjing New Materials Co., Ltd.; and a cooperation memorandum with the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of NASU was signed. Besides, the symposium also witnessed the launch ceremony of Jiangxi Sino-Ukraine Materials Institute. Mr. Wang Lixia offered his congratulation to the launch of the institute and expressed his appreciation for the cooperation.
