JXUST is situated in Ganzhou which is dubbed tungsten capital of the world due to its abundant rare-earth resources. Thus, JXUST has been placing great emphasis on how to exploit and use rare-earth resources effectively. Encountered with overcapacity of rare-earth resources, JXUST has been managing to improve the industrial chain of the resources and to utilize those resources in an efficient way. In addition, as the amount of oil resources is getting less, traffic jam is becoming more serious and it’s urgent to confront air pollution, JXUST foresees that great efforts should be put in developing smart transportation system which is safe, efficient, energy-saving and environment-friendly. Therefore, JXUST put forward a new type of permanent rare-earth electromagnetic levitation transportation system in 2014. And the proposal was accepted.
JXUST has been engaged in the utilization and researches of rare-earth for a long time. This gives it an advantage over other schools, when it decided to break the bottleneck of permanent magnet. So JXUST proposed a new type of the permanent rare-earth electromagnetic levitation transportation system in 2014. This kind of transportation system offers a new solution to traffic congestion. What’s more, the accomplishment of this system demonstrates the ability to combine scientific and technological fruits of various fields, leading to coordinated development of different circles.
