On the afternoon of September 8th, Ramesh Subramanian, dean of engineering department of Laurenson University of Canada, came to visit our school. President Yang bin met with Ramesh Subramanian. The purpose of his visit is mainly to attend the freshmen meeting of 2019 mining engineering undergraduate 4+0 project and discuss the implementation of the project. Mining engineering undergraduate program 4+0 is the first Chinese-foreign cooperative education program approved by the ministry of education of our university. This program has enrolled a total of 53 students this year.

Yang bin extended a warm welcome to Ramesh Subramanian and his delegation. He said that the university attaches great importance to this cooperation, and relevant colleges and departments will also step up coordination and cooperation, and will successfully complete the implementation of the project with higher standards, higher requirements and tighter organization. Ramesh Subramanian says job prospects are excellent for graduates in the U.S., Canada and Australia. At present, 12 students of our university have completed their undergraduate studies in Lawrenson University. He hopes that our university will send representatives to Lawrenson University in Canada to attend the graduation ceremony next year, and issue graduation certificates to the overseas students from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology to Lawrenson University in Canada. At the end of the meeting, our school extends best wishes to them.
