On March 16th, the party branch in geology and bioengineering major of our department held the 2020 annual organizational life meeting in conference room one of Yifu building.

Many leaders attended the meeting, including Li Benliang who is secretary of the party committee of the university and deputy minister of the organization department of the party committee, Luo Wei who is the party building organization member of the faculty of science, Chen Ming who is the secretary of the party committee of our college, vice president Chen Fei and all members of the party branch. The meeting was presided over by Guo Xiaofei, party branch secretary of geology and biological engineering.

At the meeting, on behalf of the branch, Guo Xiaofei presented the activities organized by the party branch volunteer activities in the past year. At the same time, he also introduced three aspects of works which branch members in the theoretical knowledge learning, team building and working methods. He said that the members of the branch always put learning first. In spare time, professional fun sports games are also organized, which deepened the relationship between teachers and students. However, they still need to strengthen the ability to innovate ideas in terms of working methods. Regarding the future prospects of the party branch, Guo Xiaofei emphasized that strengthening leadership, careful preparation, and actual results are the key words for the development of this year. Meanwhile, we must strengthen innovative development and strive to do better.

Then, Guo Xiaofei and all party members of the branch conducted criticism and self-criticism to pointed out the shortcomings and proposed improved methods with each other. And the democratic appraisal are conducted at last.

In the end, Chen Fei indicated that the branch unity played a crucial role. The combination party building with education had greatly improved in all aspects. He also put forward three requirements for the branch: Firstly, party members must be more active in the construction of the party branch to increase the participation of the masses; Secondly, we must be more flexible in enhancing cognitive abilities and combing theories with practices when learning the spirit of the Party Central Committee; Thirdly, we need to make more efforts in personnel training.
