Recently, the 9th edition of the Chinese Core Journals (2020 Edition) edited by Peking University Library was officially released. The Nonferrous Metals Science and engineering sponsored by our university was included in the 9th edition of metallurgical industry core journals. This is the first time in the history of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology.
Since October 2010, the university put forward the cultivation plan of Chinese Core Journals. With the great attention and support of the party and government of the University, and with the continuous efforts of the editorial board members, reviewers, authors and editors, the journal has not forgotten its original intention, kept in mind its goals and missions, worked hard for a long time, and achieved remarkable result.
The general catalogue of Chinese Core Journals is developed by Peking University Library and reviewed every three years. It is the basis for the evaluation of journals with great influence in China. 74 subjects are listed in this evaluation, which is completed by the combination of quantitative evaluation. The quantitative evaluation index system adopts the number of Abstracts (full text, abstract), the rate of Abstracts (full text, abstract), the amount of citations, the amount of other citations (journals, doctoral dissertations), the impact factor, the impact factor of other citations, the five-year impact factor, the characteristic factor, the impact score of papers, the citation index of papers, the mutual citation index, the award-winning or being included in the important retrieval system, and the fund index There are 16 evaluation indexes of paper ratio (national level, provincial level), web download amount and web download rate. 48 kinds of databases and abstract journals have been selected as the statistical sources of evaluation indexes. The total number of literatures counted is more than 14.2 billion, involving 13764 kinds of journals. More than 10000 subject experts participated in the evaluation of core journals. Through quantitative screening and expert qualitative evaluation, 1990 core journals were selected from the Chinese journals being published in China. It is reported that among 136 metallurgical industry journals in China, 22 were selected as the core journals of metallurgical industry.
Nonferrous Metals Science and engineering, founded in October 2010, aims to publish nonferrous metals industry theory and scientific research achievements, reflect academic trends, engineering technology and production practice achievements of nonferrous metals industry at home and abroad, and promote theoretical innovation, scientific and technological progress and academic exchanges of nonferrous metals industry in China. It mainly publishes original academic papers on nonferrous metal smelting, materials, mining, energy saving and emission reduction, environmental protection, comprehensive utilization of resources, etc. There are "metallurgy · materials", "mining · environment", "rare earth column" and other columns.
Since the journal was renamed and founded by our university, the university has paid more attention to the journal publishing work, increased the investment in running the journal, innovated the Journal Agency and the journal editorial department, opened up the journal, and formulated the medium and long-term development goals of the journal. The journal press has put forward the idea of "building excellent works with discipline characteristics, improving quality with connotation innovation, helping development with digital construction, and winning competition with efficient service"; the editorial department has established the idea of "establishing a journal with quality, creating a brand, strengthening the journal with characteristics, and pursuing excellence"; it has adopted the idea of "distributing and soliciting contributions, promoting by editorial board members, absorbing contributions with emotion, strictly reviewing contributions, carefully editing, and providing efficient service" "Official account", "priority publication" and other measures to attract high-quality manuscripts; give full play to the comparative advantages of "excellent manuscript and excellent remuneration, single article priority, digital publishing, response to (author's) good attitude, short review period, high editing quality, fast reading speed, and thoughtful service"; and create a periodical digital editing and editing system, WeChat public number of periodicals, academic exchanges of periodicals, etc.
Over the past ten years, the journal has published "rare earth subject academic research", "tungsten subject academic research", "copper subject academic research", "metallurgical materials subject academic research", "non-ferrous metal metallurgy subject academic research" and other characteristic topics. The publication of the above measures and special topics has made great contributions to the service of Nonferrous Metals Science and Engineering Journal to China's nonferrous metals industry, regional economic and social development, and the construction of science and technology and disciplines in schools. It has also made remarkable progress in the quality and social impact of the journal.
