He stated that Professor Liu Yuqiang has high academic attainments and his appointment as a part-time professor at the school will undoubtedly promote the high-quality development of talent cultivation, professional construction, and scientific research in the field of geology and mineral resources at the school.
Subsequently, Wen and Rui awarded Liu Yuqiang a part-time professor certificate and took a group photo as a souvenir.
After the appointment ceremony, Liu Yuqiang gave a special report titled "Don't Forget Your Original Intent, Work Hard, and Realize Your Ideals - A Message from a Senior Student" to nearly 300 teachers and students at the School of Resource and Environmental Engineering.
Liu Yuqiang summarized and shared his experience from five perspectives: "requirements of the times", "how to learn", "ideological preparation", "work attitude", and "relationship management", combined with his long-term work and learning experience.
Liu Yuqiang pointed out that college students in the new era should continuously improve their self-cultivation, have lofty aspirations, be down-to-earth, fearless of difficulties and obstacles, bravely shoulder historical missions, and cultivate the broad mindedness of integrating the individual into the larger self. He earnestly hopes that his classmates can embark on the path of success as soon as possible, shoulder the responsibilities of society and family, work hard, strive and strive according to their ideals, become intellectuals with noble moral character and good political thinking that meet the requirements of our country, integrate their learning into the needs of the country, and make their own contributions to the great motherland. This is called serving the motherland!
When it comes to learning, Liu Yuqiang shares his experience of continuing to study all the way. He warns college students to be proactive, resilient, and have a long-term perspective in their studies. When it comes to learning methods, Liu Yuqiang, as a senior college student, proposed practical learning methods such as taking comprehensive notes, reviewing on time, and delving into difficult points. He also emphasized that engineering students should improve their own abilities such as critical thinking, political thinking, and cultural literacy, in order to lay the groundwork for the future.
For the discipline of geology and grassroots work, Liu Yuqiang told his classmates through his experience working at the grassroots level of the geological team that geological science, as one of the basic disciplines, involves various aspects of human living space. Young students need to adapt to the new requirements of the new era for geologists and have great potential in the future. Grassroots experience is the foundation and guarantee of success for future career development; Don't be afraid of grassroots hardships. This is the best time to exercise strong willpower, master experience, and establish a good work style; This difficult experience at the grassroots level can benefit students for a lifetime.
Finally, Liu Yuqiang encouraged his classmates to pursue lifelong learning. He stated that reading and learning are the things we must do throughout our lives. Don't be afraid to suffer from the hardships of reading. This is the best way for each of us to lead to a vast world; Where and how far you can go, the books you have read will tell you the answer; We should believe that knowledge can change fate, that knowledge is power, and that knowledge enhances one's cultivation and enriches one's life.
