The students of our university have made great achievements in the Fifth National College Students' practical work competition of mineral processing engineering

From December 1 to 4, the seminar on discipline construction and professional innovation training of mineral processing engineering was held in Kunming University of Science And Technology, the fourth session of China University mineral processing engineering professional collaborative cooperation alliance meeting, and the Fifth National College mineral processing engineering students' practical work competition. In the practical work competition of students majoring in mineral processing engineering, our school has won one first prize, one second prize, four third prizes, and won the excellent organization award.
The theme of this seminar is thinking on the reform of mineral processing engineering specialty under the background of new engineering. The participants exchanged and summarized the experience in the undergraduate teaching of mineral processing engineering, and discussed the new ideas of discipline construction and professional personnel training. Professor He Guichun, dean of College Of Resources And Environmental Engineering of our university, was invited to become an expert in the evaluation. She made a theme report on the construction practice of mineral processing engineering specialty at the meeting, and introduced the construction and personnel training of mineral processing engineering specialty in our college.
A total of 244 works from 34 colleges and universities were received in the contest, covering various types of physical models, scientific papers, inventions and electronic works (software). Nine works of our school entered the competition. According to the experts' online evaluation and on-site defense, Hu Meishi and Le Chengtao won the first prize for their works copper slag reduction roasting recovery of lead and zinc, preparation of porous silicate inlaid micro nano iron and its removal of Cr (VI) in wastewater (Instructor: Yu Wen); Ouyang Liaoyuan, Xie Jiahui, etc. completed the work super strength of layered metal sulfides (KZTS) based on the theory of soft and hard acid-base (KZTS) Research on adsorption characteristics (Tutor: Liu Juan, Ren Sili) won the second prize; Zhang Beixian, Guo Jiangfeng, Zhang Yongbing completed the work slurry transport wear-resistant pipe Instructor: Zhou Hepeng), Wu Hao, Chen Chaofang, Wang Boqi, Yu Lifeng completed the work magnetic levitation column selection model of adjustable coil belt strong ore discharge device (Instructor: Li Xiaobo), Wu Hao, Chen Chaofang, Wang Boqi completed the work a magnetic flotation column and flotation method with adjustable coil height and forced discharge device (Instructor: Li Xiaobo), Li Yong, Li Qingao and Li Minfu completed a critical oxidation activation method of pyrite inhibited by lime (Instructor: Yan Huashan). Four works won the third prize.
The activity was initiated by the mining Teaching Steering Committee of colleges and universities of the Ministry of education and the cooperative alliance of mineral processing engineering specialty in Chinese universities, and jointly undertaken by Kunming University of science and technology, Guizhou University, Guangxi University and Southwest University of science and technology.
