On the morning of December 10, the communication and exchange meeting of Jiangxi University of technology and Lawrence University cooperation project was held in the first conference room of Yifu Building in golden campus. The meeting communicated with each other on the operation of the project and the solutions to the problems by means of video.
Serge Demers, special adviser to the vice president of Laurentian University, director of academic affairs and Secretary General of the Academic Council, Osman Abou-Rabia, dean of the school of science, engineering and architecture, Justin Lemieux, director of admissions, and Krishna S. Challagulla and others, Gong Yaoteng, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and vice president of our university, Liu Chengsheng, director of the international exchange and cooperation department, Xiao Guifang, president of the Institute of international education, Zhou Yubin, deputy director of the academic affairs office, He Guichun, Chen Fei, vice presidents of the College of Resources And Environmental Engineering, vice presidents of Nanchang Jinbailing Business Consulting Co., Ltd., Liu Dan and Zheng Hanzhou, as well as relevant teachers from our college and the international communications department attended the meeting.
Gong Yaoteng said that the school will fully cooperate with all parties to make the project more smoothly. He hoped that exchanges between the two schools could be strengthened, timely and effective communication could be achieved, better conditions for students' learning could be created, more high-quality and high-ability talents would be cultivated, and the common development of the two schools would be promoted.
He Guichun put forward the existing four aspects of communication, teaching, examination, teaching materials and other four aspects of the problem, and put forward a detailed solution, in view of the epidemic prevention and control situation, provided a solution for foreign teachers to teach in China. She said that the school will continue to promote the mining of potential students, reposition the height of student training, and change the student training plan. At the same time, she hopes to try the 2 + 2 + 1 training mode to promote ESL English courses in the whole school, and set up scholarships to select and subsidize outstanding international students, so as to improve students' enthusiasm for going abroad, broaden their horizons and promote the development of discipline construction.
Zeng Peng, director of the teaching and Research Office of mining engineering, introduced in detail the enrollment scale and teaching and education progress of the Sino foreign cooperative education project in mining engineering since it was put into operation for one and a half years. At the same time, he put forward the idea of developing cooperative education, hoping to strengthen the cooperation between the two sides and win-win results.
