2021 National Natural Science Foundation project application exchange conference held in our university

On the morning of December 11, our university held the 2021 National Natural Science Foundation project application exchange conference in Yifu Building Academic Lecture Hall. Pei Junling, researcher of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, attended the meeting, and Qiu Tingsheng, member of the Party committee and vice president of the University, presided over the meeting. The relevant persons in charge of College of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Chemistry, and the teachers who plan to apply for the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2021 attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Pei Junling introduced the basic situation of the projects funded by the Ministry of Geosciences and the application and funding of various geological projects in 2020. He also made a systematic exposition on the topic selection of NSFC projects, the writing methods of each part of the application and matters needing attention, and expressed his own experience on the development direction of various disciplines and fields. Pei Junling affirmed the departments of our university, and suggested that our university should seize the opportunity of interdisciplinary to overtake on the curve. For the emerging disciplines developed by the NSFC, Pei Junling encouraged the teachers to actively apply for the new disciplines, and have the courage to explore and open up to become the first generation of experts in new disciplines. Pei Junling also made policy interpretation, data interpretation, evaluation and decryption of NSFC.
