Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering Sun Chuanyao and his delegation came to our school for guidance and exchange
On July 14, the Chinese Academy of Engineering Sun Chuanyao prompt guidance communication and many leaders accompanied the visit, including deputy director of department of Jiangxi province Chen Huirong, Jiangxi Tungsten Holding Group Company Limited deputy general manager Kuang Bing, executive director of the China nonferrous metals industry association Zhang Hongguo, general manager of science and technology management department of Jiangxi Tungsten Holding Group Company Limited Tang Desheng and director of the mineral processing institute of BGRIMM Technology Group Zhu Yangge. In addition, many leaders of our school met with Sun Chuanyao and his delegation and participated in relevant activities, including Secretary of the Party Committee Yang Bin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President Qiu Tingsheng, Director of the Office of the Party Committee Liu Zhigang, the president of School of Applied Science He Jinlong, the president of School of Resources and Environmental Engineering He Guichun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Rao Xianfa, Vice President Chen Fei, Assistant Director Yu Xinyang, Vice President of Mechanical and Electrical College Liu Huizhong.
Our school will hold a discussion and exchange meeting in meeting room one of Yifu building in Huangjin campus. At the meeting, Qiu Yansheng first expressed his gratitude to Sun Chuanyao for his constant care and guidance to the school, and then introduced the school from the aspects of campus distribution, teaching staff, specialty characteristics, school-local cooperation, achievement transformation and so on. The laboratory platform of rare earth materials, copper materials, lithium electric materials and the scientific research of the university were introduced.
Sun Chuanyao affirmed the development achievements of the school. He focused on the development prospects of mining and mineral processing majors, and expressed his views on the employment problems of various majors and the whereabouts of graduates. He said: “The quality of graduates from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology is very high, which truly achieved solid foundation, practical work and honesty.” The two sides also discussed the training of talents in schools, exchanges and cooperation between universities and other issues.
After the symposium, Sun made an academic report entitled “general situation of processing technology and equipment of China’s typical strategic mineral resources” in Yifu building academic lecture hall. Faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students of Information and Environment College listened to the report. The report was chaired by Yau Tin.
In the report, Sun Chuanyao first briefly introduced the general situation of China’s beneficiation and smelting technology and equipment. Then, he used a large number of detailed words and flow charts to demonstrate the beneficiation and smelting processing technology of typical mineral resources, and focused on the flotation technology. He pointed out that China is in a period of rapid consumption of mineral resources in the process of industrialization, and China has reached the international leading level in iron ore dressing, non-ferrous and rare metal dressing process, rare earth dressing and separation, part of hydrometallurgy, part of dressing equipment, and copper, lead, nickel, tin smelting technology. He also analyzed the gap and development direction between China’s strategic mineral resources beneficiation and smelting technology and the international advanced level, hoping that teachers and students could actively participate in the scientific research and work of strategic mineral resources beneficiation and smelting technology.
Sun Chuanyao and his delegation also visited the red rail of our university and had a trial ride experience, visited the smelting technology of the copper industry and inspected the battery engineering research center and the relevant laboratories of the College of Information and Environmental Protection, and took a group photo at the gate of the Engineering Research Institute.
