Yan Xiaoyuan, deputy director of Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited and guided the demonstration site of national key research and development programs

From June 11 to June 13, Prof. Yan Xiaoyuan, deputy director of Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited the demonstration project of “Ionic Rare Earth Ore Leaching Site Soil Pollution Control and Ecological Function Restoration Technology”, a national key research and development program. Wang Xingxiang, the chief expert of the project and researcher of Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Chen Ming, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Resources and Environmental Engineering accompanied the investigation.

In the demonstration site of ecological restoration and value-added utilization of rare earth tailwater treatment station and abandoned heap leaching site in the in-situ leaching plant of Dingnan County, Yan Xiaoyuan communicated with the members of environmental protection technology co., LTD and Ruiyuan biological technology co., LTD., which pointed out the direction of further efforts for the implementation of the project.

Song Xin, a research fellow from Nanjing Institute of Soil Sciences and the chief expert of the National Key Research and Development Program “In-situ Heat Treatment Coupling Repair Technology and Equipment for Composite Organic Contaminated Site”, was also invited to accompany the inspection. Song Xin shared the project management experience and guided the site selection and construction design of the groundwater PRB.
