On July 19, soft science, a professional institution of higher education evaluation, officially released the 2022 "soft science world first-class discipline ranking". Our college's mining engineering was listed in the list and selected as one of the world's top 100 first-class disciplines. This is the second time that our college's mining engineering has been selected as one of the world's top 100 since it was listed in 2019.
In 2009, soft science began to release the sub discipline rankings of world universities. The Shanghai ranking's global ranking of academic subjects (GRAS) covers 54 disciplines, involving five major fields of science, engineering, life sciences, medicine and social sciences. The ranking of world-class soft science disciplines adopts internationally comparable objective academic indicators, including international authoritative awards, top papers, paper quality and international cooperation. The target of this ranking is more than 5000 universities in the world, and a total of more than 1800 universities from 96 countries and regions finally appear on the list of various disciplines.
