Qiu Jinming, a 2008 undergraduate and 2012 master of mining engineering alumni recommended by our school, won the 2022 "National Outstanding Award for Grassroots Employment of College Graduates" and was one of the 15 student representatives to receive the award on-site.

Currently, I am the director of Dayu Shilei Tungsten Mine, a member of the company's technical committee, and a lecturer at the Mine Training School of Chongyi Zhangyuan Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd. I have served as the chief engineer and deputy director of Taoxikeng Tungsten Mine of Chongyi Zhangyuan Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd. I have been engaged in safety production technology management of metal mines for a long time. Published 5 journal papers, 1 monograph, applied for 5 invention patents, and granted 6 utility model patents. He has won the second prize of the "China Non ferrous Metals Science and Technology Paper" and honors such as "Excellent Employee", "Model Party Member", and "Excellent Communist Party Member" from Chongyi Zhangyuan Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd.
Shoulder the heavy responsibility of the times and take root in the frontline of mining industry
In 2015, Qiu Jinming, with the belief of "making contributions to the grassroots and the people, and letting the flower of youth bloom in the most needed areas of the motherland," resolutely chose to stay in the revolutionary old area of Gannan, rooted in the difficult mining front line, and engaged in professional technical work in the mine. From a frontline technician to the main person in charge of the mine, he always struggled in the production front line, always playing the vanguard and exemplary role of a young party member. For a long time, he has been immersed in his work, bent down, and devoted himself to the production line. He often goes down to the production line to understand the production process and on-site changes from the workers, master every production link, and reasonably optimize the technology and environment of the operation site. Before urgent, dangerous, and heavy tasks, he dares to charge forward and command, promptly solving on-site problems, and constantly combining professional knowledge with practice.
Shouldering the mission of the times and building a safe mining area
Over the past seven years, Qiu Jinming has not only achieved remarkable results in mining technology management work, but also consistently placed safety work at the top of all work. He firmly established a red line awareness of "unsafe, environmentally friendly, illegal, and non production", united all management personnel, and established a safety management system that emphasizes joint management by strengthening safety education and training, strictly rectifying on-site hazards, setting a typical example with heavy rewards and punishments, strictly preventing and adhering to key links, and standardizing occupational health management. In recent years, the mine where it is located has maintained a stable situation of safety and environmental protection. The injury rate per million working hours in the mine has declined year by year. There has been no work-related accident in the past six years, maintaining the advanced level of safety work in the industry. It has successively won the honorary titles of exemplary organization of Safe Production in Jiangxi Province during the "13th Five Year Plan" period, Ganzhou May Day Labor Medal in 2020 and other honorary titles.
In addition, as a lecturer at the mining training school of the group company, he fully combines the knowledge he has learned with the actual situation of the mine, meticulously produces rich, detailed, and easy to understand PPT courseware, and imparts various safety management professional technicians' knowledge to all mining management personnel in a simple and profound manner. He interprets laws and regulations, safety awareness, and dual prevention mechanisms one by one, playing a leading role in promoting safety management experience, Drive the common growth of the workforce and contribute to the overall improvement of the professional skills of mine safety management personnel.

Qiu Jinming actively explores the field of technological progress and innovation, understands contemporary cutting-edge technologies, equipment, and processes, expands his horizons, and continuously improves himself. As a member of the company's technical committee, he actively participated in promoting the company's key research and development projects, focusing on the goals of safe, efficient, and intelligent mine construction, I have successively participated in the improvement of mining process transformation and technological innovation research and development projects such as "Application and Intelligent Construction of Efficient Mining Equipment in Underground Mines", "Application and Technological Transformation of High Efficiency Technology for Mining and Dressing of Steeply Inclined Veined Ores", "Research on the Application of Raised Well Drilling Machines in Black Tungsten Mine Mountain", "Research on the Application of Intelligent Dressing Machines in Black Tungsten Mine Mountain", "Optimization of Underground Automation and Intelligent Centralized Drainage System", etc, The design and guidance of the underground pre dumping and filling transportation system have achieved preliminary separation of underground ore and waste, improved the grade of the mined ore, and directly filled the goaf with separated waste rocks in a dry manner, ensuring that underground waste rocks do not come out of the hole, ensuring mining safety, and having good economic and social value.

It is reported that the "National Outstanding Award for Grassroots Employment of College Graduates" is a project jointly guided by the Student Department of the Ministry of Education and the Student Service and Quality Development Center of the Ministry of Education, funded by China Three Gorges Group, and established by the China Education Development Foundation. It rewards ordinary college graduates who have made outstanding achievements in grassroots employment and teachers who have made outstanding contributions to guiding and serving college students in grassroots employment work. It is selected once a year, Each time, around 400 college graduates and 60 teachers will be rewarded. After being recommended by the university, selected at the provincial level, and confirmed by the committee, each winner will be rewarded with RMB 30000.
